Your tour begins at your hotel, where your adventure guide will pick you up at the prearranged time. Enjoy the views as we drive through the beautiful pine forests of Corona Forestal and the moonlike landscape of Teide National Park. Covering an area of 190 km² your expert guide will point out all the best sights and landmarks in the park.
The lower cable car station is situated on the slopes of Mount Teide, the world’s third highest volcano. Enjoy stunning views in all directions during the 8-minute journey to the upper station at 3,555m above sea level. Admire the fantastic sea of clouds as well as the volcanic Las Cañadas cliffs and the kettle-like caldera caused by a volcanic eruption. You also get a clear view of the peculiar Roque Cinchado rock formation, possibly the most photographed rock in the world!
From here, continue to see even more awe-inspiring views on foot. There are two hiking routes, both of which will pass through different coloured rock and lava formations, leading to scenic viewpoints that can be reached within thirty minutes.
Enjoy fantastic views of Tenerife and the surrounding islands and learn the story behind how the Canary Islands were formed from your guide. On a clear day it’s possible to even see all seven of the Canary Islands from here.
After Teide, head to see the unique rock formations known as Los Roques de García in the Las Cañadas caldera. You will have time to stop and marvel at these spectacular formations and take photos. A light lunch of fresh baguettes caps off your day, before the journey back to your hotel.
This is a small group tour – Travel comfortably in our private van and enjoy the company of your friendly guides and fellow guests.
The tour is suitable for families with children. The minimum recommended age is 10 years. Note that the cable car is not recommended for people with heart or respiratory problems or pregnant women.
