Tenerife offers wonderful opportunities for fishing. The warm waters around the island are inhabited with a great diversity of different types of fish, and there’s a great chance of spotting turtles, dolphins and even whales on your trip.
Your fishing trip begins in the morning as your friendly adventure guide arrives to pick you up at your hotel at the prearranged time. Drive to Puerto San Juan in South Tenerife where your fishing boat will be waiting. Meet the boat’s captain and crew, then, sit back and relax as you set sail towards the fishing waters.
The crew will be happy to provide information about the ocean’s ecosystem and geological features (such as volcanic formations) as well as different fishing techniques. Feel the excitement of reeling in big game fish, such as bluefin tuna, barracuda, marlin, sailfish or swordfish from the boat. Alternatively, explore techniques used to catch species that live up to 150 meters below the surface, such as wreckfish, stout beardfish and blackbelly rosefish.
After fishing you will have time relax, sunbathe and enjoy a light lunch onboard. Swimming is also possible, so make sure to bring your swimwear and a towel. No doubt you will return with a story or two to share with friends and family back home. With pictures for proof, of course!
This is a small group tour – Travel comfortably in our private van and enjoy the company of your friendly guides and fellow guests.

I booked three different activities (Whale watching, kayaking, horseriding) for the last week of July, under a week before I emailed to enquire about how to pay by card, at... read more which point I was told the "company was going through changes" and the kayaking & horse riding were cancelled, but the whale watching "should still be going ahead".
Two days later I was emailed to say the whale watching was now cancelled as well.
They have since then cited staff sickness and the fact the last week of July is "low season" as the reason for this (not even lack of bookings which would be more understandable). The fact is they took no steps to notify me the activities were now cancelled (still available to book now on their website incidentally) isn't confidence building. I have a feeling I would've only found out about the cancellations at last minute if I'd not emailed them.
They did respond to me after I commented on facebook to get in touch and they could help put me in touch with other operators, but I have a feeling this is only because I left a public comment.
Very disappointed - their activities looked great with great selections, but that's no use if they don't actually happen.
